It’s been so cold here lately. Like just dark and gloomy with a chill to the air. The kind of weather that keeps you from wanting to leave your house.

It got me to thinking how much easier it would be to stay in shape if I lived somewhere like Florida, or California. There are many reasons for this:

  1. Since the weather would be nice, I wouldn’t mind going to the gym more often. It’s amazing how much the cold weather keeps me inside.
  2. I could run on the beach, which is a really intense workout…but so worth it (see picture above).
  3. No heavy coats, lots of shorts and dresses, and tons of bikinis. When you can’t hide away from months in the winter under bulky sweaters and heavy coats, there’s more motivation to keep in shape. The whole i’ll get in shape for the summer thing exists all year round.

With that being said, in the next few weeks it WILL be getting warm, an it will be sunny, and I will be wanting to wear skimpy clothes. So I’m looking forward to having that warm sunny weather on my side.
